Recording two albums allowed her to sing at various festivals, jazz clubs, and embassies. In 2018, Simona was invited by Minh Quan to Hanoi, Vietnam, to be the international voice of the song “Children’s Hope/Giu Lay Tuoi Tho,” a project against child abuse promoted by VVT, the Vietnamese national television. Subsequently, she organized the ASIA TOUR, performing in Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, Beijing, and Hanoi. At the same time, she conducted voice masterclasses at the Hanoi College of Art, Flower Ten School of Music in Hong Kong, and CMA in Beijing. In January and February 2019, she toured Mexico, where she held concerts and masterclasses. In addition to her teaching activities, Simona is actively involved in various projects and collaborations with musicians. She has performed at the Blue Note in Beijing, Italian Cultural Institutes, Embassies, Lincoln Center in Shanghai, and toured national theaters and jazz clubs.
She has been a guest on recordings, the latest being “Folk meets Jazz” in 2022, a musical project that blends traditional Chinese music with Western jazz language, representing the first Big Band Jazz album produced in China.
In October 2021, she was a guest on the Chinese national channel CCTV, where she performed “O’ Sole Mio” and “我的心裡沒有他,” the Chinese version of the song “Historia de un Amor.” In November 2022, CHINA DAILY, the national web newspaper, dedicated a special feature to her, where Simona shared her experiences of the four years she lived in China.
To date, Simona has released four albums as a leader, and in August 2022, she recorded her fifth album, “DJENUB,” a project conceived to showcase the music of the southern regions of the world. The album was created with musicians from different geographical and musical backgrounds, including China, Italy, Poland, Japan, and Ukraine. Simona sings in English, Italian, Neapolitan dialect, Chinese, Chinese dialect, Spanish, and Vietnamese.
DJENUB has been presented in Italy, Poland, USA, China and Vietnam.
On October 2023, Simona receives the Colombo Award in New York at the mayor’s office. Additionally,she performed
in prestigious venues such as Blues Alley Jazz Club in New York, Miami, and Washington D.C.
